Moments in Tokyo is an experimental publication project documenting fragmented moments collected during my travels in Tokyo.
The publication combines video stills, photographs, scanned receipts, tickets, transport ephemera, and urban observations to construct a layered visual narrative of the city. Rather than presenting Tokyo through a conventional travel diary, the project focuses on atmosphere, movement, memory, and fleeting everyday encounters.
Through editorial pacing, image sequencing, typography, and colour treatment, the publication explores how printed matter can preserve emotional traces of travel experiences. The visual system uses halftone textures and a restrained blue-toned palette sampled from Tokyo’s urban and seaside environments to create a consistent sense of rhythm and nostalgia throughout the book.
