Crystal Candle

Through the ephemeral art of candle-making, I explore a profound methodology of remembrance, redefining how we encounter and hold onto fleeting moments. Inspired by the conceptual depth of contemporary artist Ai Weiwei, I employ candles as a physical medium. By igniting soy wax beside cherished photographs, the melting wax leaves behind a unique physical imprint—a tangible symbol of a time gone by. Each residual mark becomes a distinctive token. Through this fusion of sculpture and print media, I narrate five deeply personal experiences. This project is not merely a reflection on the past, but a heartfelt celebration of memory. Through this artistic exploration, I convey a deep sense of gratitude for life’s transitory beauty, inviting viewers to collectively treasure the uniquely special instances nurtured by time.
